Between Chores

"Daddy" with his girls, 1987

 BETWEEN CHORES

by the outside
wall of the

living room where
warming sunbeams

turn bright pages,
little girls

hear voices reading
to the rhythm

of Daddy's
rocking chair

  1. Sarah, I just love your poem, "Between Chores." Love the rhythm and lack of punctuation. Again, the visualization of the moment is so clear. Thank you. What a talent!

    1. Thank you, Deb! As I looked through old photos, I found myself wishing for just one day to relive the "little girl years." How did the time slip by so quickly?
